Boxes are shipped every Thursday. The order must be placed at least on Tuesday. Payment is handled by cash on delivery.
A quality product deserves a quality treatment! Every product is put in a thin paper packing and all the products in a thick cardboard box. All the packing materials are sourced in factories that produce them with recycled paper. The only plastic we may use is a thin one placed at the bottom of the box to prevents water leaks.
Why don't you show the contents of the boxes?
Agriculture is very dynamic. A product, with a certain quality, available in one week, may not be available the next. Price changes too, often with huge fluctuations. For us, especially in such an early phase, it's very difficult to predict production, quality and price. The choice we settled in is mutual trust. Every box will have the right quantity of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, in accordance with the price.
What does the box price include?
Every box contains fresh products from local farmers. By paying for these products, you don't get just the quality, but also support those farmers. The rest of the price includes packing materials, packaging and shipping.
Where are the products from?
Products are sourced from small farmers all around Albania. Lushnja, Divjaka, Korça, etc, produce more and therefore, products are generally from those areas. However, every county in Albania have their own varieties and qualities.
Are the products bio or organic?
Product or soil certification has very long procedures and is costly. A farmer, even a relatively big one, has big difficulties in covering the costs of the biological analysis. For us, it's impossible to say if a product is bio or organic. However, what we can say with certainty is that small farmers, even if they use chemical, keep them to a minimum to cut production costs.
Do you use greenhouse products?
Our aim is to get seasonal products, preferably from open fields. However, some basic products like tomatoes have many uses in kitchen, so they're seeked all year long. For such products, the only choice is to get them from greenhouses.
Do you use products of import?
Banana is the only fruit we use that, at least to our knowledge, isn't produced in Albania. For anything else, we absolutely don't use imported products.
